My husband wanted a quilt for a coworker that just had a baby boy. He asked me to whip one up quickly in my spare time. "What spare time?" I thought to myself. Oh well, he asked nicely. Here is what I came up with. I cut 5" squares in four bright colors and the sashing was 2-1/2" strips from a Michael Miller stripe with 2-1/2" cornerstones of a multi dot. I then added a 5" outer border and before long I was done!!! I decided a soft block ball might be fun when he gets a little older so I made a matching one for the quilt. I have a pattern available for the ball on my website. It is called "Minkee Soft Blocks" by Cotton Ginnys.

Cute baby quilt! I like your soft ball also. I can't believe you worked that project in. :)
What a cute baby quilt! I bet you his coworker was pleased as punch!
